Yin Level 1


Join us for a 3 full-day intensive with renowned yin yoga expert, Naomi Pagan. Reap the benefits of being more knowledgeable of the practice, but experience it in a class setting that will immerse you into in-depth study and practice. This intensive is for everyone, and with the added bonus of becoming Yin Level 1 Certified.

Come learn the Body’s Alchemy and open yourself to its possibilities. This 30 hour training, with hands-on-assists, is welcome to all levels, especially novices.

You will develop body and energy awareness through Yin practice and mediation. Learn to follow our “inner teacher” and support others to do the same.

This training we will cover all anatomical principles, poses, chakras, meditation, fascia, meridians, and much, much more. A high quality course for those wishing to go deeper, learn more and develop themselves.

What you will learn:

  1. Anatomy: Skeletal segments, muscle groups, the concepts of target areas and functional yoga. Skeletal variations, tension X compression, and more.

  2. The yin practice of non-straining and how it influences our lives and our teaching.

  3. The movement of Qi or Prana in the body and how it can be affected by yin practice.

  4. Yin Yoga Poses: analysis of poses, their modifications and alternatives. And, how to practice them, and even teach them if you are a teacher!

    • Assisted yin routines

    • Understanding the postures - sequencing a Yin class

    • What it means to hold a safe, sacred space for yin practice.

    • Chakra theory

    • Chakra meditation

    • Concepts of karma, samskaras, and vasanas

    • Fascia and meridians

About your instructor:

Naomi Pagan - RYT- 500, RN, CMT, CCN

As the granddaughter of a Hawaiian shaman from Hana Hawaii and a 41st generation Hawaiian of Samoan, Tonga, and Maori descent, Naomi evolved into a seeker of knowledge, cultivating divine moments of truth and pure love. She searches for meaning, symbols, and secrets hidden from worldly eyes in the natural world. This led her to become an Usui Komyo Reiki Kai Master and a third degree black belt Martial Artist in Tae Kwon Do and Hun Gar Kung Fu.

Under the guidance of her skillful teachers and the lens of her own curiosity, her practice continues to evolve. Not only is she a Registered Nurse, but also a certified Clinical Nutritionist and Massage Body Worker focusing on sacral cranial work, myofascial release, reflexology and has an extensive rehabilitation background in neurology, kinesiology and orthopedics.

Always excited and inspired to learn more, she recently completed over 500-hour Vinyasa flow. Iyengar, Asthanga, and Baptist inspired teacher trainings in NJ, NY and Minnesota. She went on to completed over 600 hrs of Yin Yoga Yoga teacher training, under Corina Benner of Wake Up Yoga at the Integrated Yoga Institute in NY, Paul Grilley, Bernie Clark and Sarah Powers.
