Stretch & Mobility Flow Training

Stretch & Mobility Flow Training

Friday, Nov 7 @ 5-9 pm

Saturday, Nov 8 @ 9-3 pm

Sunday, Nov 9 @ 9-3 pm

This training focuses on Fearvana Yoga’s signature class, designed to focus on 4 main tenets:

  • Flexibility

  • Mobility

  • Range of Motion

  • Muscle Lengthening

And is designed for anyone wanting to learn and understand how to obtain more flexibility and mobility on their own, how to teach Stretch & Mobility to others in any setting (classroom, private, or groups), for yoga teachers and movement specialists trying to expand their knowledge, offerings, skills, and teaching menu.

This training is still taught in the Vinyasa style of yoga, where each pose is seamlessly linked to the next pose with breath focus, but removes poses and sequences primarily focused on strength building, endurance, stamina, and speedy transitions.

This class is suitable for yoga teachers and those wanting to learn a new method that isn’t power yoga, nor is it yin, restorative, or “gentle” yoga.

With a focus on physiology, this class is meticulously designed for populations that are

  • primarily office workers or sedentary for majority of the day,

  • those that experience extreme tightness from repetitive or strength-building activities (walking, running, weight lifting, golfing, tennis, MMA, etc),

  • aging populations,

  • injured or recovering,

  • post physical therapy,

  • athletes

  • and those that experience regular stiffness from their day-to-day, and simply need to learn how to gain mobility and flexibility from a full-body perspective

In a nutshell, this class excludes sun salutations, arm balances, inversions, and even standing balance poses that don’t speak to the four main tenets listed above.

Attendees will learn the yoga physiology behind this class, but also how to:

  • Teach it

  • Practice it

  • Create Logical Sequencing

  • Learn the language by effectively teaching it

  • How to scale the difficulty of the class based on the attendees

Stretch and Mobility has been growing in popularity to meet a certain demographic who are not quite ready for numerous chaturangas and also need more mobility beyond what restorative and yin classes offer.

This training can simply be practiced at home, or incorporated into any yoga class as a warm up or cool down, but also in children’s classes, corporate settings, senior centers, or any demographic, since stretching and mobility are always recommended to include in daily routines.

Participants will take home a comprehensive training manual and example sequences to follow.
